What does a set includes?

A set contains the following:

• 8 graduated crochet hooks with sizes: 1.8 mm, 2 mm, 2.2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 3.5 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm;
• 2 pieces of yarn/ tapestry needles (thick & thin);
• Transparent ruler so you can measure your stitches and rows, with yellow scale which is easy to see on your crochet fabric; and,
• A pretty, compact case made from polka-dot Jacquard woven fabric with two pockets for the hooks, a pin cushion for the needles, a handy cord for attaching crafty scissors (scissors not included), and an easy-to-open toggle closure.

Where to buy?

I bought mine online from Amazon.ae last February 2021 for AED 350 including shipping charges. I received it just a few days after ordering it. At first, I thought it would go out of stock after placing my order as the site mentioned “only two pieces left”, so luckily, I got one set for me!

In my home country, the Philippines, it is widely available from online shops that can be found in Shopee.ph or Lazada.ph. Also, if you have some relatives or close friends from Japan, you may also ask them to buy it for you, that way, it would be way cheaper.

Would I recommend ETIMO Red Crochet Hook set?

These crochet hooks delight me in so many different ways:

Smooth Finish
The hooks are supremely comfortable to use. Due to the cushion grip and smooth hook tip, I was able to work faster and enjoy crocheting with great endurance and less fatigue. I truly love working with the hooks as its surface glides smoothly through the yarn .

Coziest Thumb Rest And Grip Handles
I use a “pencil grip” when crocheting so the structure of the thumb rest and grips are perfect placement for me! It lessened my wrist fatigue. Although I’m still a pretty adventurous beginner when it comes to crochet, these hooks have helped me so much with consistent stitching. I call these “my magic wands”.

Matte Red Tone
First of all, color RED is the love of my life, not only because it’s the symbol of love, but also because it also signifies passion and loyalty. Now back to the hooks, the striking red color significantly makes picking up stitches so much easier, particularly on those dark colored yarns. Also, the color does not reflect light so its gentle to the eyes.

Beautiful Case
The case is a pleasure too, attractive and durable. It is made out of quality materials and holds the hooks, scissors and yarn needles that came with it. I also can fit various stitch markers in the zipper pouch and a mechanical pencil fits nicely in the extra hook space. Everything I need for my crochet thread projects is in one compact and attractive case.

Lightweight
These hooks are very easy to hold, not too bulky and not too small. They fit well in my hand, are light weight and easy to hold and manipulate.

Downside
For me, the only drawback are the labels that tell the size which are on stick-on labels. Though I have not had any problem with these, they were just like plastic sticker flattened by a machine. Nevertheless, I guess it would be really great if the manufacturer would have it stamped or engraved on the hook itself, in this way, the numbers and letters will surely not fade after long use.

To summarize, I highly recommend this crochet hook set. It offers the ideal balance between style and comfort. They have quickly became my favourite! Together with the case and accessories they came in, I totally love working with them. So, I might be purchasing more soon, maybe another series of hook sets. So, if you're really serious about following your crochet passion and celebrating life, you definitely need these hooks!! 😉 😉
