What is Vitamin E?
Vitamin E is a group of eight fat soluble compounds that include four tocopherols and four tocotrienols. There are 2 forms of this vitamin: natural and synthetic.
There is little difference between the natural and synthetic forms of most vitamins. But with vitamin E, NATURAL is better.
On a supplement label, natural vitamin E is listed as d-alpha tocopherol, d-alpha tocopheryl acetate, or d-alpha tocopheryl succinate. In contrast, synthetic forms of vitamin E are labeled with a dl- prefix.
“Natural Vitamin E supplements outperform synthetic forms, according to a VERIS Research Summary. Results of recent studies suggest that natural Vitamin E is more bioavailable and is retained in body tissues significantly longer than synthetic Vitamin E. These studies show that previously accepted differences were underestimated and that the bioavailability of natural Vitamin E is about twice that of synthetic Vitamin E compounds.”
Townsend Letter for Doctors & Patients, July 1999, p. 100
Myra 400-E (d-Alpha Tocopherol) is made out of natural Vitamin E from soybean oil which is a powerful antioxidant that helps remove harmful free radicals and promote cell and tissue renewal of the skin, lungs, muscles, and liver. It is also used for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin E deficiency.

I started taking this supplement after I just finished college and started my first job. That was the time Unilab (who is also the manufacturer of Myra E), postponed releasing Stresstabs for awhile which was one of my “comfort” vitamins when I was studying. After which, Myra E became my ” beauty and power vitamin”.
It is a supplement, therefore a doctor’s prescription is not required when obtaining it from the market. However, those persons who have certain conditions or taking another medicine, should consult the physician first before taking Myra-E.
How much does it cost and where can I buy it?
- Per capsule – ₱12.00
- Box of 8’s – ₱98.00
- Bottle of 30’s – ₱367.00
Above mentioned are the prices and I usually buy it in bottles which is sufficient for a month. This can be purchased over-the-counter in Mercury Drug and Watsons. In addition, if you are staying abroad like me, you may buy it online from Amazon or at the supermarkets such as Carrefour.

What do “I LIKE” about Myra 400-E?
Very affordable for a beauty supplement. Compared to other beauty products may it be in the form of a capsule, lotion or facial cream, this serves great value for money.
It is natural. It is obtained from whole food sources in the diet and is absorbed twice as efficiently as synthetic vitamin E. If you wish to figure out if your supplement is synthetic or natural, check the label. Natural supplements usually list food sources or are labeled as 100% plant or animal-based. Supplements that list nutrients individually, such as vitamin C, or use chemical names like ascorbic acid, are almost certainly synthetic.
It makes skin glowing and moisturized. Actually, my skin is very dry during both hot and cold season. I think its genetic and I got it from my mother’s side. Even if I frequently put lotion throughout the day, it still ended up white and flaky just like soil when the weather is hot and humid. Conversely after starting with Myra-E, my skin becomes more alive, I should say. Due to its antioxidant properties, my skin appears nourished and healthy the whole day.
It makes sleeping better. The recommended daily dose of Myra E 400 is 1 soft gel capsule a day and I usually take it before going to bed. It really makes my sleep more sound and deep. Most of the time, I wake up in the middle of the night and it gets difficult to go back to sleep. But through this supplement, I am glad that I would not have those sleepless nights anymore. By the way, I commonly drink it with warm milk to maximize its benefits.
Recommended by the doctor. For the preparation of a healthy pregnancy, it is truly endorsed by the OB-Gyne. Moreover, for those who are taking birth control pills, “clinical studies have shown that women taking oral contraceptives have lower levels of vitamin E in the body. Therefore, Vitamin E supplementation may be beneficial for them”.
What “I DON’T LIKE” about Myra 400-E?
Fairly, nothing. The capsule itself doesn’t smell of anything and it doesn’t change any of my excretions, because some supplements turns urine into a brighter or darker color. Furthermore, Myra E 400 softgel capsule has not been reported to cause undesirable effects when taken in the recommended dose.
Would I recommend Myra 400-E?
Presently, I’m in my late 20’s and I can proudly say that I still feel wonderful taking this medicine. And yes, I would definitely recommend it most likely to my mother who is in her 50’s, my sister who just gave birth, to my friends who are planning to have a baby soon or to other people who just don’t like their skin situation.

I am taking this vitamins! And I can attest to the good skin benefits of this one!! 😉 It keeps you glowing!
My sister take this everyday.. And yeah it helps a lot to achieve glowing skin.. What i really find interesting is that it helps you sleep well.. Now i’m eager to try this too.. Does it makes difference if a guy use it?
I haven’t tried this product however, this intrigued me on buying one.
It really is more affordable than I expected. I need some of the benefits to the vitamins for sure!
I used to take a different Vitamin E brand but have stopped it eventually because I’m taking multivitamins anyway. Frankly, I don’t observe anything different with my skin but I do like that it contributes to our overall health.
I need to give this a try. I have a hard time sleeping, and my skin is always dry and terrible. I need more vitamin E, I think.
My wife took this supplement when she still in her reproductive years. Myra E really helps.
This sounds like a great supplement to take. I’ll have to check this out. Thanks for sharing this information.
Looks like an interesting supplement that could be helpful for many people.
I love that it is all natural! Your body doesn’t know what to do with synthetic vitamins! Good job!
My best friend uses Myra 400-E Capsule. It’s best for her. Her skin is radiant and smooth.
Myra E is tried and tested. I highly recommend this too!
Couldn’t agree more on this. Been using this too! Great supplement for our skin.
Seems to be a great multivitamin to take! I would share this to my friends. Thank you!
