Over the years, I’ve created a lot of my own Finnish reviewers, notes, vocabulary lists, grammar reminders, practice questions, and visual study materials.
Some were created when I first started learning Finnish through Silkkitie and NLRC while still living in Dubai.
Others came later while preparing for the YKI Finnish Language Test, completing my Top-Up Nursing studies, working in healthcare in Finland, and continuing to improve my everyday Finnish.
Most of these materials were originally made for my own personal study.
I’ve decided to organize and share them here in case they can also help other Finnish learners.

I’ve divided the materials into four main collections.
Simply choose the section that matches what you’re looking for.
🇫🇮 Silkkitie & NLRC Finnish Reviewers
These are some of the first Finnish reviewers I created when I began learning the language.
The materials come from topics I studied during my NLRC/Silkkitie Finnish-language training, including grammar, vocabulary, everyday conversations, directions, schedules, weather, restaurants, first aid, verb forms, and other beginner-to-intermediate topics.
I still have more remaining units to organize and upload.
These are my personal reviewers based on what I learned during my studies. They are not official NLRC or Silkkitie course materials.
📝YKI Test Reviewers & Practice Materials
This collection includes materials I created and used while preparing for my two Finnish YKI tests in 2025.
The reviewers include practice related to:
speaking, writing, reading, listening, vocabulary, grammar, connectors, useful expressions, opinion texts, and other YKI-related preparation.
These are personal study materials and are not official YKI examination materials. They do not guarantee what questions or tasks will appear in future tests.

🩺 Finnish for Nursing & Top-Up Nursing Materials
As my Finnish studies became connected with my nursing career, I started creating another set of reviewers focused on healthcare Finnish.
This collection will include materials related to:
patient communication, symptoms, body parts, pain, medications, nursing vocabulary, healthcare terminology, documentation, elderly care, and everyday Finnish used in healthcare settings.
These are my personal study notes and reviewers. They are not official school, employer, or clinical materials and should not be treated as professional healthcare guidance.

📚 Everyday Finnish Vocabulary & Grammar
This collection is for Finnish materials I have made myself to ease memorization.
It will include things such as:
everyday vocabulary, useful phrases, puhekieli, idioms, connectors, prepositions and postpositions, Finnish cases, verb types, number endings, expressions of time, pronouns, past tense, and other grammar and vocabulary notes.
How I Use These Reviewers
I mainly use these materials as visual reminders and practice tools.
I read them.
Write things down.
Say words aloud.
Create example sentences.
Repeat difficult expressions.
And whenever possible, I try to use what I’ve learned in real conversations.
One thing I’ve learned is that:
Recognizing a Finnish word and actually being able to use it are two very different things. 😅
So for me, repetition matters.
Reading helps.
Writing helps.
Listening helps.
But eventually…
you have to use the language.

These are my personal study materials.
I am also still learning Finnish, so some notes may reflect how I personally understood or remembered a topic at a certain point in my studies.
