Experiencing Burj Khalifa, At The Top

Last April 2023, my mother arrived in Dubai to stay for a month to help us take care of our daughter, while me and my husband go to work.

At that time, I thought that it would be nice to bring my mother inside Burj Khalifa as we can only see this building from the pictures, or from afar, whenever we visit places nearby Downtown Dubai.

We were so enthusiastic about it so decided to go there and book for the tickets.

Booking At The Top Tickets

We booked our tickets via the website Headout.com last 30th April 2023. In this website, you may book tickets for any tourist spot on different countries across the world including UAE, US, UK, Italy, Singapore, France, Netherlands, Spain and many more.

We booked for a total of 3 tickets for the three of us (adults). Kids less than 3 years old doesn’t have to pay for tickets, so they didn’t charge for my daughter’s entry, who was 10 months at the time.

Highlights of the tour include experiencing Dubai from up above on an observation deck on the 124th floor and 125th floor, and the world’s fastest elevator that travels at 10 meters per second. You can also have access to the telescopes to have a better view of the astounding places in Dubai.

Our Headout.com review:

Booking the tickets from this website was hassle-free. After booking, you will receive an online voucher with a QR code which will be scanned upon entering the Burj Khalifa.

View From The Top

From the top, you shall be able to see numerous buildings in the heart of Dubai. The roads and highways look so amazing on a bird’s eye view.

Technically, you can see Burj Khalifa from everywhere if you’re near the heart of Dubai, especially Downtown. Since me and my husband work at Business Bay area in Dubai, we see and pass by this building everyday.

But of course, being at the top of this building is a very different scenario and the view was picturesque! I could imagine myself driving on those roads!

Things You Can Do At The Top

First thing you can do, of course, is to take marvelous photos – selfies and groupies – below, I’m sharing you ours with our little one.

For sure, you’ll have better shots! Just don’t forget to take a picture in front of the ‘wings‘ so you’ll have an angelic shot. 🙂

Second thing, you can use the telescope at the observation deck to scan landmarks in the city. It was connected to a monitor where you can zoom in a place and get the details about it, for example, when you are viewing the Burj Al Arab through the telescope, details and other technical details will be shown on the screen.

Another thing you can do is to shop Burj Khalifa souvenirs to preserve memories. I just hope that souvenir prices would be cheaper. 🙂

Expat advise:

Buy souvenirs outside the Burj Khalifa. There are lots of 10-dirham shops across the heart of the city. You may find Day-to-Day shops, Gift Village and Markets, Gate shops and many more. These stores have numerous branches where you can buy super cheap souvenirs and a vast variety of products.

You may check on Google for the shops’ locations. Surely you will save more money and spend it more in exploring Dubai.

Our Overall Experience

It was my mother’s first time to visit such skyscraper at a very high floor – she didn’t get nauseous, and therefore enjoyed the whole experience. From the looks, my daughter also adored it as she giggled every time she stares on the cars she could see from down the roads.

We really savored our time At The Top as it was a very special place one can ever visit.

I could say that it’s worth the price.

“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”

Theodor Seuss Geisel

P.S. Yes I know, this picture is blurred. Haha!

*one picture with a story*

Rewind.. rewind.. One lady approached us and offered to buy this photograph from them, it was a bit expensive, out of our budget, so I took a shot of that picture from her monitor. She said it was not allowed, but I couldn’t help it and I just want to save this picture as one of our memories from Burj Khalifa.

I just took the chance, but I hope nobody will get angry with me. Hah!

Until you value your time more than you value your money, you will never be truly wealthy.
